Georgia O'Keeffe in New Mexico

As I was getting a drawing lesson for my class this Friday, I came across this wonderful video on Youtube. I enjoyed so much hearing and seeing the artistic legend. I am not much of a desert lover but, in this video you can see why she loved it so much. Desert land, bones and flowers, her love was with the organic shape, designed solely by God. I love the idea of simplifying, loving the contour line. I try to pack so much information in each of my paintings for the most impact. It would be very meditative to incorporate this ease into my pieces this week.

I love this artist! She is the most talented of any one that I have found on my vast search on the world wide web. I have also read her blog and found she has a very interesting take on life. So please, do yourself a favor and check her out.
