The calm before the storm...next weekend we have a huge party in the house; complete with visiting relatives from out of town. I am very excited about having my parents in. I love it when they are with me. My son is back to school since his poison oak incident. He doesn't look normal but, I don't think he would scare the other kids. This weekend will be spent cleaning. Everyone will be in on it, even my husband although he doesn't realize it yet.
I was finally able to get back to my "drawing room." I am starting a new series of angel paintings. The first one will be for my daughters room but, I will be taking orders after that. The painting will be portrait of an angel to watch over my kids and our dog "Love" will also be in the painting. We had to put her to sleep last year and none of us has gotten over it yet. I think it will be comforting to her to think that Love is watching over her while she sleeps.
I am also toying with an idea for a colored pencil portrait to copy and give to relatives for the Christmas. Just a hint we are big Pittsburgh Steeler fans.
